What do I remember about this trip? It was in junior high. I got sponsored to go. We took a tour bus down from Toronto. Pennsylvania had so many Confederate flags everywhere. So many.
DC? A study in contrast. The public streets had the shiniest, most majestic buildings but go two blocks over and there was destitution. Overall I liked it. The Smithsonian was a blast.
